Sometimes it's just a good idea to take an afternoon off and spend it in my favorite city--Walnut Creek.

Dianne and I decided to stop by the Duncan Arcade to view the colorful murals. In partnership with Walnut Creek Public Art, four Bay-area based artists added some flair and excitement to your venture from Main Street to Locust Street.
Then we were off to enjoy the painted pianos downtown. Dianne is an accomplished pianist and I'm just a guy who can play one song on the piano. Well, two if you count Jingle Bells.
No trip downtown is complete without something to eat. I grabbed a cone at Lottie's that was literally the best salted caramel I've ever eaten. Then I washed that down with an assortment of mini cupcakes from Cupcakin' who really does make the best damn cupcakes!
