Lifestyles of Winter Olympians: Check Out These “Cribs!”

Before you tell your kid there’s no money in being a ski bum, take a look at the fabulous homes of these famous Winter Olympians! It might change your mind about hitting the slopes or heading to the skating rink to practice a triple lutz!

Here’s a little peek into the lives of these Olympians but take my advice. Don’t quit your day job.

Yet!

First stop? Let’s check out Shaun White, three-time half-pipe Olympic gold medalist, competing tomorrow for his fourth gold medal.

Shaun White, Malibu CA

Shaun recently sold his picturesque, gated Malibu estate for $8 million. Although at 2,164 square feet, the sunny beachfront home is not large, it certainly “warms” up the environment for the Winter Olympian. Situated on a bluff, the house was originally built in 1948 and has been meticulously remodeled.

Michelle Kwan, Rhode Island

Michelle Kwan, two-time Olympic Medalist has made Rhode Island her home. Check out "Casa del Sol"--an odd choice given the home’s location in New England—which boasts 5,000 square feet of pure luxury!

The house sits on two acres, with a “Wow” pool and stone patio. And have you ever seen a sweeping staircase like this?

Kristi Yamaguchi, North Carolina

Check out the former North Carolina home of Kristi Yamaguchi, figure skating gold medalist (and Dancing with the Stars champion!) It features three bedrooms and four bathrooms with over 3,800 square feet of living area. The overall flow of the home is unique with octagonal spaces instead of typical rectangular rooms with a large kitchen.

Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces make the home an Entertainer’s dream!

I hope you enjoyed your quick tour. If you are considering upgrading your lifestyle to the level of an Olympic superstar, give me a call! Check out my perks for buyers here.

Now it’s time to head back out to the slopes or rink. I am feeling inspired to take my shredding to a whole new level!
