There has never been a more important time to be "Home for Holidays" than 2020! And if you are looking for a few new tips and tricks for making your holiday extra special, easier and tastier, you've come to the right place!
Join me today as I recreate my wife's velvety smooth American buttercream. I'm going to reveal her secret (shhh....don't tell my wife!) and in the process, I may create a little kitchen disaster of my own. Oops!
To make this buttercream, gather:
1 cup room temperature butter
2-1/2 cups powdered sugar
2-3 tablespoons whipping cream
vanilla extra
sea salt
Note: If you'd like to make chocolate buttercream, substitute 1/3 cup-1/2 cup of the powdered sugar with a high-quality cocoa powder) We usually double this recipe!
Now you're ready to frost cupcakes, sugar cookies--or just lick some buttercream off of a spoon.
